Hello there! My name is Jaclyn Sutherland. I am currently a student in the English and Teaching English PhD program at Idaho State University. Within the pages of this website you will find myriad documents relating to my chosen career: Teaching English, as well as a blog containing my thoughts on my graduate school experience, books I have read, and perhaps some anecdotes about teaching college level English in the 21st century.

Graduate Fellowship
This Fellowship is awarded to PhD students in the Department of English and Philosophy at Idaho State University who show promise academically. It is an award given to a select number of students in the English and Teaching English program each academic year. The expectation is that the student will use the time they would have spent teaching First Year Composition to work on other aspects of their professional self (such as publication and research).
